【News】IMICS Welcomes New Students for Fall 2025 through Comprehensive Orientation Program

The International Master's Program in International Communication Studies (IMICS) at College of Communication, National Chengchi University conducted its Fall 2025 orientation on September 1st, welcoming a diverse cohort of incoming students from Taiwan, the United States, and across Asia and Europe. The comprehensive program showcased IMICS's commitment to cultivating future leaders in international communication through cross-cultural academic excellence and collaborative learning environments.

Program Director Dr. I-Huei Cheng provided students with essential program information, emphasizing IMICS's distinctive international partnerships and career preparation opportunities. "The program's international scope and collaborative approach prepare students with the skills needed for global communication leadership," stated the Director.

The orientation featured comprehensive presentations from core faculty members Dr. Tsung-Jen Shih, Dr. Christine Cook, Dr. Ssu-Han Yu, and Dr. Tsung-Yu Hou, who outlined the program's rigorous academic foundation spanning communication theories, research methods, digital media studies, and emerging technologies.

A key highlight of the program presentation focused on IMICS's international opportunities, including a dual degree partnership with the University of South Carolina, an exchange program with Michigan State University, and extensive academic networks in Taiwan and internationally. Current students shared practical insights about these opportunities, demonstrating the program's commitment to experiential learning and global engagement.

The orientation concluded with interactive activities designed to foster the collaborative academic community that defines IMICS's learning environment.
