Signing Memorandum of Understanding between NCCU and HSUHK

National Chengchi University, October 13th, 2023 – The head of the College of Communication of National Chengchi University (NCCU), Prof. Yi-Ning Chen, and the Head of the School of Communication of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), Prof. Hung Tso, signed a memorandum of understanding on the joint program.

In attendance were distinguished professors from the College of Communication at NCCU, dedicated staff members, and eager students, all united in their excitement for the promising prospects this partnership heralds at Li Zhan Memorial Lecture Hall.

The primary objectives of this MOU are to facilitate the exchange of students, teaching methods, and research experiences between NCCU and HSUHK. The comprehensive scope of agreements includes:

  • Exchange academic materials and information;

  • Mutually receive educational visits by faculty members and researchers;

  • Exchange students;

  • Hold joint international conferences;

  • Conduct joint research projects;

  • Engage in other activities to enhance mutual understanding and collaboration.

Dr. Tammy Jih-Hsuan Lin, the Director of IMICS, has played an instrumental role in facilitating and nurturing this collaboration. Her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts have been pivotal in bringing this partnership to fruition. This historic alliance is poised to reshape the region's academic cooperation landscape with her guidance. Through the amalgamation of intellectual resources and cultural insights, National Chengchi University (NCCU) and The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) are set to embark on a journey towards unrivaled educational excellence.


IMICS, established in 2006, concentrates on enhancing students' research and practical abilities in media studies, cross-cultural communication, and other communication-related topics. This program offers a platform for international and local students to share their observations and experiences, contributing to the diversity of National Chengchi University and improving its global reputation.
