Welcome new students to IMICS - Fall 2020

Updated: Nov 4, 2021

On September 14 – the first day of this fall semester, IMICS organized an orientation for newly enrolled IMICS students.

Whereas NCCU’s orientation for international students provided general information for student to settle down and get used to new school life, IMICS orientation gave more insights into the program and its students’ experience.

This year, IMICS welcomes 22 students from 11 countries including the U.S., England, France, Italy, Iceland, Croatia, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, Viet Nam and Taiwan. Due to the pandemic, some of our students coming from abroad had to go under quarantine, thus attended the orientation online.

Dean of College of Communication Professor Li-Hsin Kuo, IMICS Director Professor Ting-Yu Kang, and other IMICS’s professors came specially to share the joy of seeing a new generation of IMICS students.

Students were introduced to IMICS, exchange programs, internships, and especially experience from the senior students. Games are engaged to break ice and both junior and senior students spent time discussing academic related topics, enjoying Taiwanese traditional snacks and having lunch together.

We wish the new IMICS students the best of luck in their academic lives and hope they will have great time with NCCU and Taiwan.
