Job hunting in Taiwan

Tip #1: Use your personal network. “I got my current job after hearing about the company through a friend…Let people know you're looking for a job and what you're looking for.”

Tip #2: Use job searching sites. “If people are interested in English editing, marketing or sales, there are a lot of jobs listed on Taiwan 人力銀行 sites.” Such sites include: 104, 518, yes123, ptt job, Linked In, Indeed, HeySuccess, and tealit.com. Some websites such as Chambers of Commerce and foreign trade offices also have job listings.

Tip #3: Attend government sponsored employment fairs, and also the NCCU career fair and others hosted by Taiwanese universities.

Tip #4: Be aggressive. Don’t wait for the perfect job to come to you. Polish and print out your resume, then send it online or even pay a personal visit.
